4th Annual Lake Athens Fly Fishing Festival
April 6, 2018 - April 7, 2018
Getting ready for 4th Annual Lake Athens Fly Fishing Festival on April 6th and 7th, 2018.
This year we will have a two day event with the Sunfish Challenge and a Dinner Social Friday evening.
Saturday we will host a Big Bass and longest stringer Challenge, casting games, instruction for kids and new comers as well as fly tying and instruction from some of the areas best tying masters.
Plus great food and lots of prizes
The Big Bass and longest Stringer contest will require a $40 entry fee. All proceeds from Contest will benefit North Texas Project Healing Waters serving wounded Veterans.
Lake Athens has produced two Share Lunkers and provides great fishing in the spring.
I warn my friends and clients” Be ready it could be an 11 inch Bluegill or a 6 pound Bass” on any cast.
